living room. Savor Chef Rene's cuisine, which has received the highest acclaim from critics and customers alike. Of course, no visit to Rene's could be complete without the indulgence of one (or two!) of Barbara's exquisitely decadent desserts. Unquestionably, the premiere choice for original confections, Barbara's award winning desserts have captured top honors in every regional circle. Although European born, Rene and Barbara have become Adirondack natives by heart. The two began their culinary careers in their native lands of Switzerland and Britain and after finding one another, came to America to perfect their skills in the kitchens of the renowned Chef Tell. After a time on the East coast metropolis however, the couple began searching for a place to escape that frantic lifestyle and raise a family. They found Chestertown, and when Rene's Restaurant was born it wasn't long before Chestertown, and the north country found it. Now in it's fourteenth year, Rene's has joined the principal list of "must" for Adirondack visitors and residents alike. |
